MacBrayne's 'King Edward 1V', built in 1929 at Fort William.
We were very lucky to arrive at Fort William in time for the Highland Games on August 2nd according to David's writing. We saw Dancers, Bagpipes, Caber throwing and all sorts of things foreign to us, I remember it was a lovely day and there were crowds of people watching... and is that a girl behind the Bagpiper about to High Jump?
I had never heard and certainly seen someone throw a Caber! What a strange sport that is.
Crowds of spectators.
David enjoying? a chilly dip near Glen Nevis.
