First stop from San Francisco is Vancouver, our friends the Charlesworths, were working so we spent the day pottering around this beautiful city.
We do arrive at this same spot in November 1978 on board the Oriana and with three little children in tow, Ted met us and took us to the snow with toboggans, that was a fun day as well.

Lovely to see your pics of the old Himalaya, Pennie. I did a cruise on her in 1969. Where you docked in Vancouver may be what is now Canada Place. We sailed from there on our Alaska cruise.

We ( my two other Swiss buddies ) and me were on the same boat back in October 1970. Sailing from Cherbourg to Vancouver BC. We met a few Australians on board.
We emigrated to Canada , but in 1987 I returned to Switzerland and my two buddies stayed in Canada .
